4 Years ago I was still a student in the 2nd Year, working on as many projects as I can to get better as much as I can. After a few months I made some good work with my friends, And I began to think that I am getting closer and a closer to a place where my skills can be useful in real life work not just hard examples and imaginary problems or fun Engineering Projects. So I was offered my first freelancing job. It was to build a prototype for a system that automatically calls a backup generator to replace in case of failure in the main power system. It was really fun and challenging at the time. Since I never did any Engineering projects for money before that. I was extremely excited. The project went really well and the client was delighted. Since then I have been into many freelancing projects until I made it to the final year. Some of them were online and some were not. But I began to sense I'm not getting the best of me yet. Some clients where extremely hesitant, they did not know what they wanted. Some where great and some made me hate freelancing in Engineering as a whole. I even made a few translation projects for a change.

A few days a go I was chatting with one of my best friends , AbdElRahman. I told him it might be a great Idea if there where some company to organize the freelancing process for both the client and the Engineer. It would save the client the uncertainty about the skills of this freelancer. And it would save the freelancer , specially the good ones , the inconsistency of work or being taken advantage of. This seemed really amusing to him. I realized he already knew something similar to this idea. He mentioned Toptal and said this is exactly what you're taking about. But remember this is not easy but it's worth it. Google it And you'd understand.
Top 3% ? .. hmm challenge accepted
I was so excited that day and kept searching about the company. They work with highly qualified employees. Any company would say that. That's for sure. But what attracted me the most is that they don't promise much for the developer at no expense. They even said it out loud. You're most likely not getting this job 97% of us at least wouldn't. I realized then that was a series offer that I'd love to be a part of. I began reading about the company from both the developer and client perspective and everything seemed realistic for me. They are clear about the chances of work and the strict rules of work. But if you'd accept that, your work would be appreciated both financially and skillwise.
I might get this right from the first time, I'd love to but if not I'd keep trying. Either way this is a challenge I'd not miss.

Screening Process mile stones

73.6% fail this one. Yet I'm entirely sure I'd pass given the chance. I've been through similar processes like this one before. This could be harder , that's expected , but it wouldn't be an issue since I spent my time translating Vsauce videos for fun. Personality wise I'm going to be optimistic :)
- In depth skill review:
19 % fail this one. But if it's all about problem solving. I think I have a good chance. Worst case scenario, I get to see what a top 7.5% talent should look like.
- Live screening:
About 4 % fail this one. But if I made it this far I'm pretty sure I'd not lose here.
- Test Projects:
at this one a project is given with a dead line between 1 and 3 weeks. Of all the screening processes this is the one I'm sure I'd pass from the first time.
- Consistency
the company offers a great framework. In exchange keeping a consistent performance is expected. And I believe that's what's great about engineering. You always face new challenges that push you forward.
